QUEEN CONTEST

Contestants must be between the ages of 16–20 and living in Corona, Norco, or Eastvale. Money raised by the contestants through the sale of raffle tickets, sponsorships, etc., will be used for future scholarship awards.

The contestant who raises the most monies will be crowned Queen of the parade and fiesta during a special coronation dance held on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The Queen, 1st and 2nd Runner-ups will receive a trophy, sash, bouquet of flowers, and a gift bag. The Queen will receive a $300 cash prize. This is a great opportunity for young ladies to build their self-confidence and give back to the community. If you are interested, an orientation meeting will be held at the Corona Public Library (High Sierra Room) on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. If you have any questions, contact Regina Medina at (951) 256-6684. SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Proceeds that are raised from the Queen Contest and various other fundraising events are used to award scholarships to high school seniors graduating from the Corona-Norco Unified School District. The Committee is in partnership with the Riverside Community Foundation who oversees the distribution of the scholarships to the recipient’s choice of college. Applications are available at all high schools within the Corona-Norco Unified School District. If you have any questions, contact your school counselor or call Andrea Bosquez at (951) 817-1145.
